Datura Online is the source for the best online belly dance, yoga, and pilates education in the world.
I founded the website in 2012 with Rachel Brice, and by the end of my tenure in 2016, Datura Online had thousands of students in 156 countries learning and participating in a vibrant global community of dance through 400+ instructional videos.
My role was broad and dynamic, ranging from Marketing Director, Product Owner (Web Manager), Web and Graphic Design, Video Director, Producer and Director of Photography, and also Managing Director.
As a venture Datura Online was unique in that it was essentially a technology start up that emerged from an already successful brick and mortar business. This project also allowed me to leverage my varied creative, technical, and business skill sets into something that felt greater than the sum of those parts.
